I must commend the concierge for remembering my name, a skill I've yet to master - that was the highlight of my stay at the hotel. As a seasoned traveller I would suggest choosing this hotel only if nothing else is available.
How a hotel in the Arabian desert conspired to fail to offer hot water is a mystery to me, the cold tap was tepid & the hot was cool & the water was yellow. Be sure to bring bottled water to brush your teeth. The room was tired to say the least, with an ancient 14 inch TV in monochome, only one plug socket was available, making it difficult to suggest it's suitable for business travellers. Self service breakfast, for me consisted of a cup of Nescafe coffee from a packet, in a paper cup - a really poor out of date offering. This was my second poor stay at a Golden Tulip hotel in KSA, as Riyadh wasn't much better. I wont be going back.
it was a nice quite stay over although the hotel w fully ook with haij pelgrims servise were still godand qiuck.
Horrible Experience and extremely depressing locality. Booked.net should not list such third rated properties.
Internet was not avialble in rooms
Only the Food was good, I doubt if it was clean!
I do not recommend this hotel. I didnt get a good service at all, no shaving kit or teething kit. the room was dirty, the bed cover was having hair. I requested for an electricity plug, they didnt have. and so and so and so.....
close to market and restaurants
Extremely poor maintenance.Paints and chips broken at many places. No internet in Rooms which is so vital for business Travelers. Every time you need to come to Lobby to check emails.
The concierge, Philippino called Steven.
Everything else! Run down, dirty, no hot water, had to fix the cistern in the bathroom myself to enable to flush toilet. Air con stopped working. Most channels on the tv did not work. Food expensive and very poor quality..
The staff are respectful
The location is very bad , its far from down town and from airport, its at the old jeddah near the old airport and the hood is very bad. the hotel is very old, very uncomfortable and expensive. i left the hotel immediately after i checked in , you dont to experience it i highly recommend booking to remove it from their website because the pictures are not real , the hotel looks good in the website but very bad in realty. the AC is not working well at the lobby !!! and in my room as well !! DO NOT EVEN THINK TO BOOK IT !
Price and location and swimming pool
Air condition was soo bad Receptionist staff not friendly Barbershop not fixed price
room reciption servce and recipetion
1- No Internet available at the rooms upstairs 2- The restaurant in discusting 3- The room was not ready although I reserved it one week earlier 4- The mattress was curved already and not comfortable 5- a/c was not working proberly at the lobby
The price is fair and there are always available rooms !
I didnt like it, the location is very bad and its not that clean .... I tried to call the room service ... "No body answer"
Seriuosly... It was the worst one word to describe it....DIRTY Roome were so dirty that you can find stains of food and remains of previous stays...walls were greasy, there was this smell..terrible.. And the staff were not at all friendly or helpful... I learned my lesson the hard way (never golden tulip anywhere again)
The hotel was cheap but not value of money. If you travelling alone and looking for a cheap trip you may check-in into Golden Tulip, but otherwise this is not a very comfortable and clean place.
There was no brerakfast or finished bk every day, I stayed for 6 days and the situation was same.when asked I was told that there are groups coming in a lot & they are taking all the bk ?????? a bottle of water was charged 8 riyals ( on petrol pump we get water free ).same happened with the cleaning,,rooms were not cleaned up till late 10 pm,,when asked the same reason was given as less staff and big groups coming??? I had a bad bad experience.....
